Rafael Fiziev claims he made Justin Gaethje ‘sad’ with his Instagram stories
Rafael Fiziev, who is set to face off against Justin Gaethje at UFC 286, has made a humorous statement regarding their upcoming fight. According to Fiziev, he was able to make Gaethje "sad" through his posts on the social media platform Instagram.
During UFC 286 Media Day, Brett Okamoto from ESPN MMA conducted an interview with Rafael Fiziev where they discussed his upcoming fight against Justin Gaethje in London. The Kazakhstan-born fighter appeared to be amused by his own words, as his comments likely suggested that he was trying to get under Gaethje's skin ahead of the big match. It's not uncommon for fighters to use psychological tactics to gain an edge over their opponents, and Fiziev seems to be no exception. He stated:
"The fight with Justin Gajethje, I'm waiting for this a lot, I make a lot of stories a lot of something you know in Instagram about Justin and I make him sad little bit."
The 30-year-old mixed martial artist further added:
"But I'm happy, and excited I'm happy now I have this opponent and big Challenge I like I love challenges."
