"Rehab is going pretty well" - Stephen Loman gives an update on teammate Joshua Pacio's condition after knee surgery
Stephen Loman assured Joshua Pacio's fans that the ONE strawweight MMA world champion is on the road to a full recovery. 'The Passion' went under the knife to repair a torn ACL earlier this year and has been working hard behind closed doors to get himself back in tip-top shape.
According to his Lions Nations MMA teammate Loman, everything is going to plan as far as Pacio's rehabilitation is concerned. 'The Sniper' shared this uplifting development in a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive:
"Joshua's recovery is already done, and he's in rehab now. As far as the doctor told us, Joshua's rehab is going pretty well."
The second-ranked bantamweight MMA contender added:
"Hopefully his injury healed up. Hopefully, he had a full recovery on his ACL."
After reclaiming the 125-pound MMA world title last March, Joshua Pacio revealed he needed surgery on his right knee.
An interim strawweight world champion was crowned in his absence, with Jarred Brooks claiming the throne after choking out Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 earlier this month.
Fans, of course, can't wait for the inevitable trilogy and world title unification between Brooks and Pacio, once the Filipino gets back to 100 percent.
Joshua Pacio's message to new interim king Jarred Brooks: "Wait for me"
One of Joshua Pacio's main motivations to get better is his desire to settle the score with Jarred Brooks.
After 'The Monkey God' recaptured 26 pounds of gold, 'The Passion' asked his rival to exercise patience and give him time to prepare for their grudge match.
Pacio told BJPenn.com:
"I heard him loud and clear. I'm doing my best in my recovery. I'm just here, Jarred. Wait for me, I'm not going anywhere."
