Renato Moicano shares surprising story of his 59-year-old uncle’s road rage incident: "Brazilians r f**ked up!"
Renato Moicano revealed his 59-year-old uncle beat someone up during a road rage altercation.
In February, Moicano defeated Drew Dober by unanimous decision in the UFC Vegas 85 co-main event. Following his winning performance, the Brazilian caught fans off guard by announcing his 62-year-old father recently had another child.
Earlier today, Moicano referenced his father's latest child by saying this on X about his 59-year-old uncle:
"People think it was funny when I said my 62-year-old dad was having another baby. Imagine if I tell u that last week my 59-year-old uncle beat up a young guy on a rage road incident. Brazilians r f**ked up".
Moicano's win against Drew Dober helped him build momentum after taking out Brad Riddell in late 2022. Since then, the Brazilian lightweight has secured two finishes against Jalin Turner and Benoit Saint-Denis, putting him in the No. 10 ranking spot.
Moicano's ongoing four-fight winning streak has been the best run in his UFC tenure. The 35-year-old made his promotional debut in December 2014, building a 12-5 record over the last decade.
Renato Moicano scheduled for top-ten lightweight matchup
On Jan. 18, 2025, Renato Moicano will make his 18th octagon appearance during UFC 311. The No. 10-ranked lightweight looks to continue climbing the division against No. 9-ranked Beneil Dariush.
Heading into UFC 311, Dariush needs a win to get back on track. 'Benny' was previously in the lightweight title picture before suffering consecutive defeats in 2023 against Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan.
With a win at UFC 311, Moicano could earn a massive opportunity to fight a longtime superstar like Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Despite being ranked No. 10, Moicano might be two or three wins away from a title shot due to Islam Makhachev starting to clear out the division.
UFC 311 goes down inside the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The first UFC pay-per-view event of 2025 will be headlined by pound-for-pound king Islam Makhachev defending his lightweight title in a match against Arman Tsarukyan.
Makhachev and Tsarukyan first fought in April 2019 as rising contenders. Makhachev emerged victorious by unanimous decision.
