Renato Moicano takes offense with bonus snub in social media statement after UFC Paris, sends message to opponent Benoit Saint Denis
If it wasn't clear before, Renato Moicano wants to get paid. However, his pleas for a bonus have seemingly fallen on deaf ears. Moicano missed out on the list of fighters who bagged the UFC Paris post-fight bonuses despite an impressive performance against Benoit Saint Denis in the main event.
The Brazilian took to X to express his frustration while also emphasizing his determination to keep winning. MMA journalist Adam Martin pointed out that Moicano hasn’t received a performance bonus in over six years, despite rattling off six finishes in seven wins since losing to 'The Korean Zombie' in June 2019.

Moicano took to X to react to his second-round TKO (doctor stoppage) victory over Saint Denis, writing:
"Hey guess what?… I’m not losing modfkers #ufc... Much respect for Benoit Saint Denis a true warrior that served his country! Thank [you] for the opportunity to fight in Paris!! Respect #ufcparis"
However, he couldn’t help but question the UFC’s decision-making regarding post-fight bonuses, and wrote:
"So beating a [French fighter] in Paris main event with a 10-8 first round doesn’t get you a bonus #ufc. What do you guys think?"

In the main event of UFC Paris, Moicano leveraged his grappling skills to dominate Saint Denis on the ground. 'God of War' sustained several cuts around his eye which prompted the referee to stop the fight before the third round. With the victory, Moicano improved his win streak to 4-0 and cemented his status as a formidable contender in the talent-rich lightweight division.
In his post-fight press conference, Moicano commended his rival's grit while also highlighting the weaknesses in Saint Denis' game. He noted that the qualities that make the Frenchman dangerous also render him vulnerable. Moicano extended an invitation for Saint Denis and his team to train at his gym, claiming that the 28-year-old "needs to get out of his comfort zone."
