Reug Reug admits he barely broke a sweat vs. Boucher Ketchup: “This was one of the easiest fights”

'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane called his victory at ONE Fight Night 23 one of the "easiest fights" of his career.

Before stepping inside the Circle for his first shot at the ONE heavyweight MMA world championship, Kane returned to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for a heavyweight kickboxing clash with fellow Senegalese Boucher Ketchup.

In the end, it only took 'Reug Reug' just over two minutes to finish Ketchup with an onslaught of strikes.

Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA following his sixth career win inside the Circle, Kane dubbed his win against Ketchup as one of the easiest of his career.

Still, he was happy to share martial arts' biggest global stage with his countryman. He said:

"Yeah, this was one of the easiest fights. But, you know, this guy is famous in Senegal, you know, everybody knows this guy. But, you know, me and this guy are not on the same level. And I am very very happy that I won."

'Reug Reug' looks to capture gold in his first ONE world title opportunity at ONE 169

Adding another impressive knockout to his resume, Oumar Kane set the stage for what will be one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights in ONE Championship history.

On Friday, Nov. 8, 'Reug Reug' heads to State Farm Arena for ONE 169: Atlanta. That evening, Kane will challenge reigning three-division ONE world champion Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA crown.

It will be Malykhin's first time defending the title since trading in his interim heavyweight title for undisputed gold against former champion Arjan Bhullar at ONE Friday Fights 22.

Since then, 'Sladkiy' has added the middleweight MMA title to his collection, which already included both the light heavyweight and heavyweight straps.

Will Malykhin continue his dominance over ONE Championship, or will 'Reug Reug' end the Russian juggernaut's reign and claim 26 pounds of ONE gold?
