‘Reug Reug’ ecstatic for chance to perform on global stage in ONE Championship: “I can use my power to punch people”

Senegalese wrestling champion and ONE world title challenger Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is getting ready for the biggest fight of his professional career so far.

The heavyweight MMA star is set to face triple division world titleholder 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin this weekend, and the 32-year-old is excited to show the world what he can do.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, 'Reug Reug' says he is thankful for being able to showcase his talents in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The 971 MMA / Black Panther Sports representative stated:

"Of course. I’ve always loved MMA. It makes for good fights. I like it too much. I can use my power to punch people and I hope it will make me a champion."

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane joined ONE Championship in Jan. 2021, debuting against veteran Alain Ngalani at ONE: Unbreakable II. The 32-year-old Senegalese sensation has since gone 6-1 in the promotion, posting impressive victories over the likes of Batradz Gazzaev and most recently, BJJ icon Marcus 'Buchecha' Almeida.

Now, 'Reug Reug' has the chance to cement his legacy in ONE by taking out one of the best heavyweights in the game today.

Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane is set to face triple champ 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin for the ONE heavyweight MMA world title.

They will clash in the main event of ONE 169: Malykhin vs. Reug Reug on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Nov. 8.
