"Ripped his toe off and threw it at the audience" - Chael Sonnen recalls when Jon Jones "mooned" his motherĀ
Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones were once enemies in the octagon. However, the pair have since shared a few laughs together, including once when 'Bones' showed Sonnen's mother a little too much skin as a prank.
Sonnen and Jones faced off at UFC 159 in 2013. Jones won the fight via a first round TKO but suffered a compound fracture to his toe during the fight. According to 'The American Gangster', however, that wasn't the most memorable moment of the evening.
Speaking in a recent video on his YouTube channel, Sonnen revealed that as he was preparing to leave the fighter hotel to get an early morning flight home after their bout, Jones, who had just returned from a party, was in the lobby chatting to his mother.
Sonnen then revealed the light heavyweight champ had opted to play a prank on them both before they left. He explained:
"Jon Jones mooned my mom. So Jon and I fight...We don't get done until 1 AM. [Jokingly] I had ripped off Jon's toe and threw it in the audience...I come downstairs with my bag to meet my mom in the lobby. When I get down there, there's not a soul in the hotel except Jon and my mom, who are sat at a table." [1:25]
"Jon is wearing red sweatpants and nothing else...He told my mother he'd been partying all night. Then he said his goodbyes and got in the elevator. The elevator was all glass so you could see...I can see him, when he gets off on the fifth floor I can see him. He walks to his room and yells something, my mother and I look up and he drops his pants. He gives us the full moon and leaves," he added.

Chael Sonnen reveals he would have also stopped Colby Covington vs. Joaquin Buckley
Chael Sonnen, who was in Colby Covington's corner at UFC Tampa, has revealed he also would have stopped the fight due to the cut above Covington's eye.
Covington suffered a third-round TKO loss to Buckley in the main event last weekend, following a doctor's stoppage due to a cut above his eye. Despite some contention about the decision, Covington was down on all three scorecards and didn't appear to be his usual self in the octagon.
Sonnen has since weighed in on the stoppage and admitted he was also close to throwing in the towel due to the cut. He said:
"He's [Colby] busted open so bad the doctor has to look at it three times. Twice, he stops the action to let it keep going. The third time he says, 'man, we can't go anymore'. I was going to stop that fight. I already grabbed the towel."
