Rising star Maurice Abevi welcomes undefeated Kazakh Samat Mamedov at ONE 168: Denver

Rising MMA star Maurice Abevi is set to return for his fourth outing under the ONE Championship banner when he makes the walk at ONE 168: Denver.

The promotion's return to Denver on September 6 is starting to fill up, and Abevi is just the latest addition to a stacked event.

Following his back-to-back wins over Blake Cooper and Zhang Lipeng, the 24-year-old will take on an undefeated debutant next time out.

Samat Mamedov joins ONE Championship with an undefeated record of 10-0, where just one of his professional wins has come via decision.

With six wins coming via submission on his record, Mamedov is surely going to test the wrestling skills of Abevi, who is more well-known for his jiu-jitsu.

It's a massive opportunity for the new arrival to make a statement on his debut by taking out one of the top names in the lightweight MMA division at the Ball Arena.
