Rising star Nabil Anane offers his thoughts on being part of stacked bantamweight Muay Thai division

Rising bantamweight Muay Thai star Nabil Anane of Thailand is settling in quite nicely in his new weight class.

The 6-foot-3 former flyweight moved up a division after he grew too big for his former weight class. Now, Anane is wreaking havoc at bantamweight after beating two big names.

Anane took care of business against former ONE world title challenger and current No.5-ranked contender 'Demolition Man' Felipe Lobo at ONE Fight Night 24 on Prime Video last August.

Just last week at ONE Friday Fights 81, Anane took another big scalp in lethwei legend Soe Lin Oo.

Speaking to veteran reporter Nic Atkin in a recent interview, Anane talked about his victory, and how happy he feels.

The 20-year-old Algerian-Thai standout said:

"I feel great, very proud. Still, I’ll say this again, I have plenty of time, so slowly, slowly."

When asked if he was impressed by Kulabdam's victory over Suablack earlier in the night, he had this to say about his potential next opponent:

"He had a great fight too, congratulations to Kulabdam and Suablack. But, yeah, when it comes to the ring, there’s always one winner and one loser, so it is what it is."

Needless to say, Anane is on cloud nine right now, and the current No.4-ranked bantamweight Muay Thai contender is looking at taking on another of the division's elite for his next fight.

What's next for Nabil Anane in ONE Championship?

Nabil Anane can't wait to get back in the ONE Championship ring and continue his ascent to world title contention. But what's next for the OnePiece superfan?

Anane has passed every test in the top five with flying colors, with the exception of an early loss to 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9. As such, he is looking to face some of the bantamweight division's top dogs.

These include former bantamweight Muay Thai king and Thai legend Nong-O Hama, explosive Scottish sensation 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo, and former two-sport king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty.
