Roberto Soldic’s trainer Ivan Dijakovic says Croatian sensation’s “fight date and opponent are set”

Roberto Soldic's return to action could come sooner, rather than later.

The Croatian sensation seems to be nearing his return after his trainer Ivan Dijakovic hinted at Soldic's next match under ONE Championship.

Dijakovic, who co-founded the UFD Gym with his brother Tomislav, revealed on Instagram that Soldic's opponent and fight date are already set and they're only waiting for the paperwork to be completed.

He wrote in his post:

"It's been quiet for a long time about @soldicmma. Prepare for the return of Robocop. We've never chosen our opponents, we've never rejected opponents. Roberto always wants to fight against the best possible opponents, the fight date and opponent are set, we're waiting for the fight contract! #robocop #fightnewscomingsoon"

Soldic was arguably the hottest free agent of 2022 and his arrival at ONE Championship sent shockwaves across the MMA world.

'Robocop' was a two-time KSW champion and was expected to burst through ONE Championship's stacked roster.

His start at the promotion, however, has hit a difficult snag.

Roberto Soldic's first match at ONE on Prime Video 5 ended in a no-contest after Murad Ramazanov accidentally hit him in the groin.

He then faced former ONE welterweight MMA world champion Zebaztian Kadestam at ONE Fight Night 10, but he suffered a flash knockout to the Swedish striking machine in Denver.

Nevertheless, Soldic remains one of the best fighters on the planet and someone who can always put on an absolute barnburner when called on.

Roberto Soldic ready to throw down against anyone at ONE Championship

Roberto Soldic is one of the most fearsome knockout machines on the planet, and he's hellbent on unleashing that concussive power against anyone ONE Championship throws at him.

In a previous Instagram post, the 29-year-old said he's just waiting for ONE Championship's call to march back to the Circle.

He wrote on Instagram:

"Discipline is doing what you hate to do, but do it like you love it. I'm waiting for the call @onechampionship 📞"

Soldic has 20 wins in his professional career, with 17 coming via knockout.
