"Rodtang wants a piece of it" - Fans sympathize with Rodtang as Thai megastar goes through his emotions watching Takeru
Reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon was among the superstars present at the ONE Friday Fights 81 card last week.
Rodtang closely watched the showdown between Takeru Segawa and Thant Zin, and ONE Championship published a video of his reaction to every big moment during that match:
"Rodtang reacts 👀 What do you think 'The Iron Man' is thinking after Takeru's win at ONE Friday Fights 81? @rodtang_jitmungnon @k1takeru"
'The Iron Man' was clearly shocked by the first-round knockdown that Takeru suffered from Thant Zin but was visibly happy when 'The Natural Born Crusher' turned the tables and got the second-round knockout finish.
This reaction echoed the sentiments of fans, particularly from users @adbielfiguer, @faizalvoltz, @jason_a_palmer, @jer898emy, and @ry.rahmatyani, who posted their own sentiments about the video through their comments:
"Best bromance"
"Rodtang wants a piece of it 🔥🔥🔥"
"They both know steep sharpens steel."
"Friendship and respect 👍👍🙏"
"Rodtang put respect to takeru...sportsmanship.."
Rodtang warns Takeru that he will not have an easy fight when they face each other inside the ring
Following the post-fight interview of Takeru, Rodtang made a special appearance inside the ring. This moment marked an impromptu face-off between the two striking maestros. This added more excitement to their inevitable clash in the foreseeable future.
They also exchanged a few words, but the Jitmuangnon Gym-affiliated athlete warned the Team Vasileus representative that he would have a more difficult match against him when they finally stood across the ring.
The 27-year-old Thai megastar said:
"I just want to say you had it easy tonight. When you face me, it's not going to be this easy."
Before this highly anticipated fight with Takeru happens, Rodtang will need to face Jacob Smith in a world title rematch on Nov. 8 at ONE 169: Atlanta, which will take place inside the State Farm Arena in Georgia.
Tickets for ONE 169 are available at Ticketmaster.
