Rodtang warns Jacob Smith to work on defense ahead of explosive rematch: “He’ll need to fix that”

Reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand has thrown out a hard warning for upcoming opponent Jacob Smith of the United Kingdom.

The two are ready to trade leather in a couple of weeks' time, and the Thai icon says Smith better get his defense on point or suffer the same fate as in their first match.

Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Rodtang says he was not impressed by Smith's most recent performance, a three-round unanimous decision loss to Denis Puric last April.

'The Iron Man' said:

"I watched that fight. He was tough as always. It was a great fight. However, I did notice openings and moments he dropped his guard. He’ll need to fix that before our fight because I’ll certainly use what I saw to cause the damage."

Rodtang first met Smith in May of 2022, when he welcomed the Englishman to the world's largest martial arts organization at ONE 157.

'The Iron Man' completely dominated that fight, adding Smith permanently to his highlight reel in what was a savage beatdown.

Now, fans are ready to see the two go at it again in a world title rematch.
