Ryan Garcia challenges Devin Haney's father to boxing match in latest social media rant: "Stop complaining and shut up"
Ryan Garcia has challenged Devin Haney's father to face him in a boxing match. Additionally, 'KingRy' lambasted the father-son duo for their actions after his controversial fight against Devin.
Ryan and Devin were 3-3 against one another as amateurs. Their professional boxing grudge match, for Haney's WBC super lightweight title, transpired on April 20, 2024.
Though Garcia defeated Haney via majority decision, he was ineligible to win the title because he'd missed weight. Per VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association) in May, Garcia reportedly tested positive for the banned PED (Performance Enhancing Drug) ostarine in relation to the fight.
In June, their fight's verdict was overturned to an NC (No Contest). Haney vacated the WBC title that month. In July, Garcia was banned by the WBC for remarks deemed as racist and discriminatory.
Devin and his father Bill Haney have consistently criticized Ryan Garcia. In September, Devin sued Garcia. Per ESPN, Haney's lawsuit sought unspecified damages against Garcia for alleged battery, fraud, and breach of contract over his positive PED tests.
Garcia recently threatened a lawsuit of his own and has now put forth several tweets against the Haneys'. 'KingRy' emphasized he has PTSD from the drug test failure, reiterating that he's never used steroids and naturally possesses knockout power. He claimed he'll get tested by three separate groups.
In another tweet, Garcia challenged Bill Haney to an exhibition boxing match:
"I landed a hook in the first 30 seconds. Bill Haney explain that, how would ped's ever give me the timing and accuracy to land that hook that quick off Devin Haney making a minor mistake."
Garcia's tweet further entailed that the Haneys' supposed denial of the defeat would precipitate more defeats for them. The 26-year-old opined that people would respect Bill and his son Devin more if they gracefully accepted the loss rather than make excuses:
"You tell me to get on vada, but you forgot it ain't on your terms who the f**k are you. I already agreed to them randomly testing me. So you can shove it up your def*led b**tyhole."
Garcia added:
"I'm ready to show I'm great and I always have been since the amateurs. In all my years of fighting I've never tried any steroids my supplements were tainted. Stop complaining and shut up now and for all. If you don't we can run an exhibition between your self and I. RYAN GARCIA VS BILL HANEY BOOK IT."

Ryan Garcia outlines conditions under which he'd consider potential Devin Haney rematch
Blair Cobbs recently took aim at Bill Haney and challenged his son Devin Haney to face him inside the squared circle, possibly in at welterweight (147 pounds) rather than super lightweight (140 pounds). Responding to Bill Haney's recent jibes at him, 'The Flair' hit back at them with a statement and video in a tweet.

Ryan Garcia, who's suspended from boxing till April 20, 2025, proposed a potential path for Devin Haney to earn a rematch. 'KingRy' opined that if Devin can defeat Blair Cobbs, he'd consider facing him in a rematch. Responding to Cobbs' tweet, Garcia tweeted:
"Blair the flair vs Devin Haney book it. If Devin gets past Blair then we can run it back. But I doubt it."
