Ryan Garcia and Logan Paul hail ‘destroyer’ Alex Pereira prior to UFC 287 clash against Israel Adesanya

Boxing star Ryan Garcia has showered praise on current UFC middleweight king Alex Pereira.

'The Flash' recently made an appearance on Logan Paul's 'Impaulsive' podcast. At one point during the podcast, he shared his thoughts on 'Poatan'.

Garcia described Pereira as 'scary' and said that he and the Brazilian shared some similarities when it comes to throwing left hooks in fights.

"You know what's crazy, though? I've never seen somebody throw a hook like me but Pereira does through a hook like me. He throws it where you don't really use your legs so much... I mean that guy, he's scary. I don't even think I would wanna be near this man. He's just a destroyer.

Logan Paul then echoed Garcia's sentiment and called Pereira a 'Terminator'.

"He looks like a warrior from gladiator times who as born and raised and bred to just kill people. He talks to himself in between rounds. He stands there like a Terminator and says s**t like, 'I'm ready to kill.'"

Alex Pereira will return to action on April 8 and will defend his middleweight title against his arch-nemesis Israel Adesanya. The co-main event will feature a welterweight banger in the form of Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns.

'Poatan' and Adesanya have competed against each other on three separate occasions. Their first two encounters took place in kickboxing matches and the Brazilian got his hand raised on occasions.

Adesanya then turned his focus to MMA and found major success. 'The Last Stylebender' went on to win middleweight gold and was also undefeated in the UFC's middleweight division.

Pereira followed Adesanya and stepped foot in the world of MMA. After just seven professional fights, 'Poatan' was matched up against Adesanya for the middleweight championship at UFC 281. Adesanya was cruising to a decision victory in the fight but the Brazilian pulled off an incredible knockout victory in the last round.
