Ryan Garcia reacts to Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting's fights for Olympic gold in Paris
Boxing star Ryan Garcia has shared his reaction to the news that both Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting will fight for Olympic boxing gold in their respective weight classes.
Khelif and Yu Ting have been at the forefront of controversy in Paris, with debates about their gender overshadowing their performances in the ring. The pair were previously banned from competing at the Women's Boxing World Championships last year due to reportedly failing a gender eligbility test conducted by the International Boxing Association (IBA).
The test results reported both fighters have XY chromosomes, which are typically associated with biological males.
Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting were then given the green light to compete in Paris, after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that they no longer recognize the IBA's rulings.
The two have since come under fire, however, as a section of people, including Ryan Garcia, believe they are transgender athletes seeking a competitive advantage.
'KingRy' took to X to react to the news that the boxers had made it to their respective boxing finals. The 25-year-old was responding to fellow boxer Ebanie Bridges, who wrote:
"XY for the win"
Garcia responded:
"LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

Ryan Garcia shares his thoughts on Olympic opening ceremony
Ryan Garcia wasn't a fan of the Paris Olympic opening ceremony, with the boxer opting to take aim at the athletes competing for not protesting against what was depicted.
The organizers of the ceremony have received backlash due to the reglious themes that were explored, with a section of people believing they were mocking the Christian faith by re-inacting 'The Last Supper' with drag actors.
'King Ryan' then took to social media to voice his issues with the ceremony, as well as calling out the athletes that are competing at the games. He wrote:
"Damn Paris got some funky sh*t going on. Fu**ing goof. Tf is this...You are a goof you still watching the most satanic Olympics of all time. Btw shame on the athletes for not speaking up. I understand competing but lack of words speaks volumes"
He continued:
"Olympics so far: Allow trans people to disrespect Jesus in front of billions. Allow men to fight woman. Satanic worship in there opening. I mean what are we as humans just allowing to happen."
