Ryan Garcia's parents release statement condemning 'KingRy's' racist remarks: "Our family unequivocally does not support"

Once lauded as boxing's next big thing, Ryan Garcia has clearly fallen from grace in recent times. His latest string of hate speech, making disparaging remarks about Muslims and indulging in racially charged comments has forced his family to put out a public statement condemning 'KingRy's' actions.

For context, in a recent X-Space session, Garcia blasted Rumble streamer Sneako, making slanderous remarks on Islam, the faith the social media star adheres to.

If that wasn't enough, the 25-year-old continued his poor choice of deeds, making racially charged comments while speaking on the social audio app Clubhouse. He said:

"I hate n*****s. I'm anti-black... I'm KKK. I hate n*****s... Hey, let's go bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n****r again."

The young pugilist's regrettable comments have prompted his family to take action. In a statement, they wrote:

"Our son has recently made statements that did not align with his, or our family's true character or beliefs. Our family unequivocally does not support any statements he has made regarding race or religion. These do not reflect who Ryan truly is and how he was raised. Those who know Ryan can attest to this fact."

Furthermore, Garcia's parents pointed to his mental health struggles as the cause for his erratic behavior and assured that they remain dedicated to helping their son navigate these troubling times.

Suffice it to say, that Garcia's deeply disturbing outburst have invited dire consequences. The most notable of which is his expulsion from the WBC.

Ryan Garcia refuses to apologize for his anti-Muslim comments

While Ryan Garcia's family is trying to mitigate the damage their son has caused, the boxer is quickly undoing all of their work.

During a recent social media livestream, 'KingRy' refused to apologize for his disparaging comments on Muslims. According to Garcia, he is not against Islam but against "certain types of people."

Addressing a fan question during the stream, he said:

"Bro Muslims are cool bro. Why does everybody think I don't like Muslims? I like Muslims, what are you talking about? I said I don't like certain types of people. I didn't say nothing about Muslims... And guess what I'm not apologizing for nothing. You ain't going to catch me apologizing for nothing. The last time I apologized was never."
