Sean O'Malley doesn't blame Aljamain Sterling for seemingly stalling Henry Cejudo fight talks
Sean O'Malley has weighed in on the ongoing negotiations for the UFC bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo.
During episode #219 of his podcast TimboSugarShow, O'Malley talked about the negotiations for Sterling vs. Cejudo and mentioned that he doesn't blame the champion for seemingly stalling the fight talks:
"I've been in those mindsets where I'm not mentally ready to go into a f***ing camp. That would suck. He's getting forced into this fight... And I don't think it's a bad thing that 'Aljo' [Sterling] might not be mentally ready, it just happens. Fight camps are f***ing brutal, they're long. He's probably enjoying being champ, he knows it's probably not going to last long." [8:10 - 8:40]
'Sugar' also mentioned that he doesn't believe money is a factor in the stalled negotiations and that there could be another reason why 'Funk Master' is hesitant about fighting 'Triple C' in March:
"Henry's [Cejudo] going out there and said, 'Hey, it's done deal on my part. Whenever. February, March...whenever. So it is 'Aljo' [Sterling] that's not taking the fight, and we've talked about it so many times, I don't think it's money. I think it's literally he [Sterling] doesn't wanna get into camp." [7:42 - 7:58]
O'Malley has a vested interest in the Sterling vs. Cejudo matchup as he is likely to challenge the winner as the No.1-ranked bantamweight following his win against former bantamweight champion Petr Yan at UFC 280.

Sean O'Malley gives his thoughts on BJJ vs. MMA
Sean O'Malley gave his thoughts on BJJ vs. MMA while discussing Gillian Robertson's submission win against Rose Namajunas at a recent FURY Pro Grappling event.
Both fighters compete in different weight divisions in the UFC, so it was interesting to see what would transpire during their grappling matchup. It didn't take very long for Robertson to get her hand raised as she submitted the former UFC strawweight champion via rear-naked choke in just over a minute.
During episode #219 of his TimboSugarShow, 'Sugar' discussed the matchup and mentioned that there are differences between Brazilian jiu-jitsu in a grappling match as opposed to an MMA fight, saying:
"[Robertson] Hit her [Namajunas] with a nice arm-drag and just stayed f***ing tight on that hip and just took her down and choked her... Training real jiu-jitsu in a Gi or even no-Gi, but doing real jiu-jitsu is way different than doing MMA jiu-jitsu, so much different." [25:46 - 26:40]
