“Your dad f***ed his sister to make you” - Sean O'Malley issues scathing response to Bryce Mitchell claiming 'Sugar' didn't deserve to share the octagon with Petr Yan at UFC 280
Sean O'Malley recently responded to Bryce Mitchell siding with Petr Yan ahead of UFC 280 and questioning 'Sugar's merit to fight the No.1-ranked bantamweight contender.
Speaking in a video from MMA Crazy, Mitchell claimed that the silver-tongued bantamweight contender does not deserve the opportunity to fight Yan while also picking the Russian to emerge victorious:
“I also have to pick Yan over O’Malley. The reason being is because once again, O’Malley hasn’t even earned that spot. He’s used his mouth to get him that fight. His YouTube followers ain’t going to help him once the cage doors get locked.”
O'Malley then posted his response on one of his social media stories. 'Sugar' started off by listening to Mitchell's comments and then retorts with a fiery response following his split decision victory over Yan at UFC 280:
“Your dad f***ed his sister to make you.”
At the recently concluded pay-per-view event in Abu Dhabi, O'Malley rose to the occasion and made the most out of the biggest test of his MMA career so far. It is axiomatic that the American will climb the bantamweight rankings from the previous spot at No.11, now that he holds a victory over one of the division's most elite competitors.
Sean O'Malley looking forward to renegotiating UFC contract after victory over Petr Yan
UFC President Dana White viewed Sean O'Malley's fight against Petr Yan as the surging bantamweight contender's opportunity to become a global superstar like Conor McGregor. The UFC head-honcho perceives it to be a significant development in 'Sugar's' career, similar to when McGregor fought Jose Aldo.
At UFC 280, Sean O'Malley engaged in a thrilling back-and-forth contest against 'No Mercy'. Both fighters hurt each other badly in the three-round high-voltage affair, but in the end it was the American who walked away with the biggest win of his career. Both combatants were awarded Fight of the Night honors for their brilliant display.
Even with the controversial split decision victory, certain sections of the MMA community have hailed O'Malley for passing the biggest test of his MMA career with flying colors.
When asked about the "Conor-Aldo" reference by a reporter during the post-fight media interview, O'Malley claimed that it was difficult knocking someone out within 13 seconds. While shedding light on the analogy, 'Sugar' also claimed that he would like to renegotiate his contract with the UFC:
"What’s considered a Conor-Aldo moment?” Do I have to knock someone out in 13 seconds? Because that’s going to be hard to do. But as far as blowing up, I don’t know, we’ll have to see the next couple of weeks. I can almost guarantee I’m going to go sit down and renegotiate my contract after that.”
