Sean O'Malley outlines plans for "Suga Show Fighting Championships" exclusively for influencers: "I want them to just experience the fight"
Sean O'Malley is part of a new wave of UFC fighters who have built strong relationships and a formidable reputation with prominent figures in the influencer space. In line with this, O'Malley recently highlighted his plans to create the "Suga Show Fighting Championships" (SSFC), an exclusive event designed for influencers.
O'Malley outlined his vision to provide influencers with an authentic fight experience without the high stakes and potential dangers of a professional bout. O'Malley is looking for influencers with little to no combat experience and wants to set up fights that will allow them to experience the emotions and intensity of stepping into the ring.
The former UFC bantamweight champion took to X and said:
"Sugar Show Fighting Championships! We're starting it. We're doing it this year. I'm looking for influencers with little to no experience. The goal is to have these influencers, give them a date, have them think about that date, have a full fight experience the whole day, that emotions you feel leading up to a fight. I don't want anyone to get hurt. I don't want anyone to get knocked out. I want them to just experience a fight."
Delving into the specifics of the contest, O'Malley added:
"Three, two-minute rounds. We can come to an agreement, whether it's boxing, MMA, or kickboxing. I want it to be safe. I don't want anyone to get hurt. I just want them to experience that feeling of a fight, the walkout... I want these influencers to really experience that I think it'll be badass. It'll be fun. Sara Saffari versus who? You guys tell me. Start dropping ideas. Sketch, Aiden, Steiny, Kyle, from Nelk [Boys]."
