Sean O'Malley responds to Henry Cejudo’s comments about his training camp struggles: “A little guy that gets very upset"
Sean O'Malley is scheduled to take on Merab Dvalishvili in the main event of Noche UFC 306 on Sept. 14. It will be a stereotypical 'striker vs. wrestler' matchup, with 'Sugar' regarded as a sniper on the feet and Dvalishvili revered for his unrelenting pressure and grappling style.
Former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo recently claimed to have been told that O'Malley endured problems getting back to his feet from bottom position during his training camp for 'The Machine'.
Cejudo stated that several training partners of the bantamweight king had shared details of his fight camp in preparation for Noche UFC 306.
The 29-year old appeared in front of the media on Sept. 11 for the pre-fight media day, during which he was asked about Cejudo's recent claim. 'Sugar' responded by claiming that 'Triple C' was offended by the prank O'Malley pulled when appearing on his podcast:
"You saw me roast that guy, right? He tried saying, 'Ah he got us, Kamaru.' And Kamaru was like, 'Nah, he got you.' Henry is just a little guy that gets very upset about things. I just burned him so good, I don't know where he got that my back hurts. But that's not true."

Merab Dvalishvili hints at looking for a knockout win against Sean O'Malley
With Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O'Malley just a few days away from their bantamweight title fight, anticipation is high about how the bout will unfold.
The expectation is that 'The Machine' will need to employ a grappling-heavy gameplan to secure victory over his opponent. Meanwhile, 'Sugar' will ideally look to keep the fight standing.
But the title challenger has warned fans not to be surprised if he secures a knockout victory. Dvalishvili told ESPN MMA:
"We all know his jiu-jitsu is good. He has been training in jiu-jitsu. I don't think he is only dangerous in striking. He will be dangerous in wrestling too. As a professional fighter, I have to give him respect everywhere."
He continued:
"Everybody knows me as a grappler but I can hit too. Don't be surprised if I knock him out because it's MMA. I'm accepting [every possibility]. Maybe Sean O'Malley shoots a double leg. He has a double leg if he cuts the angle."
