Sean O'Malley sends six-word DM to Ariel Helwani, latter responds during live MMA show
Sean O'Malley has maintained his entertaining persona, as he recently sent a private text to Ariel Helwani that included a funny poke at the MMA journalist's nose. O'Malley's statement elicited a response from Helwani on the latter's live MMA show.
In the recent episode of The Ariel Helwani Show, Helwani discussed a no. of topics with Merab Dvalishvili, including a potential rematch with O'Malley. However, at the end of the episode, the 42-year-old received a message from 'Suga,' who took a hilarious jab at the two, claiming that Dvalishvili's nose made Helwani's nose appear smaller:
''I got a text from Sean [O'Malley]...he says Merab's [Dvalishvili] nose makes yours look small. I said, 'thanks'. That is tough.''

O'Malley lost his bantamweight title to Dvalishvili at Noche UFC 306 after suffering a unanimous decision defeat. The 29-year-old has subsequently sought a rematch, alleging that he won three rounds. He stated in a prior appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show that he hopes to make a comeback in Miami. When asked if he would be well enough to compete, O'Malley replied:
''I'm saying March or April. I'm doing everything I can do to get back in there. My mindset, my ambition, my drive, everything is at an all-time high. I want to get back in the gym. I want to get back to work. I want to get back on the mats. I want to get back to do - I want to make that walk again and I want Merab next. I know I'm better than him. I need to right that wrong. I think Miami would just be sweet."

At first, O'Malley declared that he would be taking a protracted, possibly one-year, leave of absence from action. However, the American fighter has since made a little reversal, saying he wants to evaluate where he is after following his recovery from labrum surgery.
Merab Dvalishvili reacts to potential Sean O'Malley rematch
Merab Dvalishvili recently said he has no problem with Sean O'Malley's assertions that he believes he won the fight and that 'Suga' wants an instant rematch as they create excitement for a possible rematch.
During his appearance on the aforementioned The Ariel Helwani Show, Dvalishvili spoke to the combat sports journalist and discussed O'Malley's claims, saying:
''Yes, he [O'Malley] won this fight. Listen, I don't have a reaction. I'm not mad. Actually, I want him to promote this and I want more people to believe this and I want to fight him...I'm not mad when I see this. It's okay. I wish a rematch happens." [2:27:06]
