Sean O'Malley teams up with Jake Paul to launch new business venture after heated face-off
Sean O'Malley and Jake Paul are now partnering up for a new business venture. The reigning UFC bantamweight champion revealed over the weekend that he would not only be joining the famous social media celebrity who is now a boxer as a business partner but he'd also be co-owner of Paul's most recent enterprise.
The company is called 'W'. It plans to manufacture a line of men's personal care products that will only be sold to Walmart. These goods will include body wash, body spray, and antiperspirant deodorant. Hair gels and a 2-in-1 shampoo conditioner are also expected to be released by Aug. 2024.
O'Malley recently took to social media to announce the partnership. He posted a picture of himself in a bathtub filled with W-branded goods with the following caption:
''W co-owner. Bathing in all its glory. I smell like 1000 roses having s*x rn. These products are made for champions and fu**ers that live life to the fullest like me. Vitamin infused to help the 60-70% of young men who are deficient in vitamin d and magnesium and we took out all the weird ingredients our competitors have. Jake and I together will save the smelly. Go to your local Walmart now and run this sh*t up babbyyy. P.s Merab you need this stinky boy.''
This came after the two got together in person for an intense face-off. The confirmation of O'Malley's partnership with Paul and Conor McGregor's withdrawal from the event makes it very clear that the entire UFC 303 discussion was a publicity gimmick intended to generate buzz for the brand's launch.
As for the fighting scene, O'Malley is set to defend his title against No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili later this year. Meanwhile, Paul's boxing bout against Mike Tyson was postponed after the latter experienced a medical emergency.
When Sean O'Malley predicted the outcome of a boxing contest between himself and Jake Paul
In 2021, Sean O'Malley predicted how a possible boxing match between Jake Paul and himself would unfold. O'Malley acknowledged that Paul was a much stronger opponent with a lot of force in his blows. The bantamweight champion, nevertheless, claimed to be a quicker and more accurate striker.
During an episode of the TimboSugarShow podcast, 'Suga' was questioned about whether he would ever think about fighting Paul and if he had a chance against him. O'Malley replied:
"Me vs. Jake Paul in a boxing match. I will say Jake probably has more power than me. Maybe. I mean, if I were to throw just a straight hit, he might hit harder than me. He's quite a bit bigger guy. When it comes to speed I think I would probably take that."
