Sean Strickland claps back at fan after being warned of Ian Garry: "I didn't take that.. the ex husband did"

Sean Strickland isn't backing down from dishing out taunts at Ian Garry. This time, it was a fan who instigated a reaction and Strickland leapt into the fray immediately.

Strickland and several other fighters in the MMA community have made seemingly off-color jokes about Garry and his wife. The MMA community bashed Layla Anna-Lee's previous work, ‘How to Be a WAG’ while also mocking Garry for allegedly adopting his wife's ex-husband's surname.

It's important to note that Anna-Lee clarified in the past that 'Machado' is her maiden name, and the pair added their names together when they got married.

As for Strickland, the former UFC middleweight champion recently posted a video compilation from a vacation trip indulging in water sports.

A fan commented on the video warning Strickland that Garry is "coming for" him. In the past, the Irishman had asserted that he would move up in weight class to fight 'Tarzan' and hold him answerable for the comments and their implications. Strickland replied to the fan by targeting Garry, writing:

"LMAO.... coming for what? His last name? I didn't take that.. the ex-husband did."

When Sean Strickland called Ian Garry a "weak man"

Sean Strickland harbors a strong dislike for Ian Garry and there's no doubt about it. He consistently makes demeaning remarks against the Irishman.

Strickland was on the frontline of critics who made fun of Garry's marriage and ridiculed his wife's body of work. During his appearance at UFC 297 media day ahead of his fight against Dricus du Plessis, Strickland was asked to weigh in on Garry's comments that he would like to fight the American. He replied:

"Does he really want to fight me? What a f**king c*nt. Ian Garry is such a f**king c*nt... God, I hate that f**king guy. I hate that f**king guy so much. If Ian Garry was right in front of me I'd f**king fight him. Ian Garry is a f**king piece of sh*t. I think we can all agree that Ian Garry is a piece of sh*t. He's a piece of sh*t."

He added:

"He's a f**king weak man. This is what I try to tell people, man, you meet these f**king c*nts all day long and they f**king smile and they shake your f**king hand, but really their core is f**king rotten. Like, you look at me and I'm an a**hole... You look at me and I say hard sh*t. I make fun of my co-main event. I'm not an a**hole. I'm just saying what you're thinking. Ian Garry is a f**king c*nt and he hides who he is."
