Sean Strickland issues cryptic reaction to fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson
Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland recently launched a cryptic reaction to the tragic killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Thompson was fatally shot outside a Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan in what authorities described as a planned attack. The gunman, reportedly armed with a silencer-equipped firearm, fled the scene and remains at large.
Strickland suggested that identifying the perpetrator might be straightforward due to the use of a silencer and concealed weapon, referencing potential tracking through CCW (Carrying a Concealed Weapon) and ATF (The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) databases. He further questioned the characterization of the killing as "senseless," alluding to Thompson’s role within a "corporate oligarchy" and UnitedHealth's significant financial standing.
Thompson, 50, led the largest private health insurer in the U.S., overseeing a unit responsible for over $281 billion in annual revenue. His death has raised questions about motives, given reports of prior threats and his alleged involvement in insider trading allegations.
Reacting to the news on X, Strickland wrote:
"It's going to be so easy to find the United CEO killer.... Step 1. search all the NY data bases for everyone with a CCW since the weapon was concealed. Step 2. Search the ATF records for everyone who has a suppressor in NY. Going to be real easy............... lol."
He also added:
"The media "#UnitedHealthcare killing was senseless" But was it really senseless??? I mean.... was it???? I'm not saying it was right.. it wasn't... but 561 billion dollar net worth...... At what point do we realize we live in a corporate oligarchy."

Sean Strickland launches fiery attack against Khamzat Chimaev
Sean Strickland is set to challenge Dricus du Plessis for the UFC middleweight title at UFC 312, despite rumors that Khamzat Chimaev's dominant win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308 may have disrupted his plans. Strickland earned his rematch after defeating Paulo Costa at UFC 302.
Despite securing his title shot, Strickland took to social media to target Chimaev. In a profanity-filled rant on X, Strickland mocked Chimaev’s character, accusing him of being involved in crypto scams, aligning with Ramzan Kadyrov, and relocating to the Middle East under pressure. He wrote:
"I love how cu*shot will try to talk sh*t to me.. Bro, you're not a man, character-level fuc*ing dog sh*t. Crypto scams, who*ed yourself out to [Ramzan] Kadyrov for cars, fled to the Middle East when the pimp hand got too strong. Stay in your lane Swedish man."
