Sean Strickland mocks people who practice BJJ with hilarious meme
Sean Strickland has not entered the octagon since defeating Paulo Costa via split decision in the co-main event of UFC 302 in June. While 'Tarzan' appears likely to receive the next opportunity to challenge Dricus du Plessis for the middleweight title, a timeline for the potential bout remains unclear. The No.1-ranked middleweight recently took to Instagram to mock people who practice Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Strickland reshared a post from a meme page that shared an image of Gillian Robertson facing Michelle Waterson-Gomez, suggesting that the poster parents always walk in with the fight in awkward positions. He posted the image to his Instagram story, captioning the post:
"No idea why people do bjj"

While Strickland rarely utilizes his grappling, he is a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu. He showed that the achievement was not important to him last December, however, as he took to X to share a video of himself throwing his black belt in the garbage. He added a comment claiming that the fighting style is useless in mixed martial arts.

Sean Strickland called out by Machine Gun Kelly
Sean Strickland was involved in a back-and-forth with Machine Gun Kelly at a Power Slap event earlier this year. The No.1-ranked middleweight has continued to target the musician and his girlfriend, actress Megan Fox, since the altercation. 'MGK' responded on the Impaulsive podcast, claiming:
"I don't know this guy from a crumb of bread. I didn't know who he was when I met him. I got hip afterwards that he's insanely racist and homophobic and just not my type of guy so I would've never even wanted to shake hands with him in the first place, but he also is just a representative of every person who's too scared to just be themselves because if you're comfortable as yourself, you don't care who anybody else is and how they are."
He continued:
"He's so dumb that I'm going to tell him right now, you should not keep saying stuff because it just makes me look better, but you're going to keep saying stuff so I know that you'll react and say more things, but you just shouldn't. As a person who's just giving you big bro advice, learn this, shut the f**k up and don't speak on me anymore and live your life, but you won't and I'm going to continue laughing at you because you're a f**king idiot."

Strickland took to X to respond, claiming the musician and actor is having a mid-life crisis. He labeled Kelly as a guy who drinks blood and wears a purse. While the feud between the two appeared to be dying down after 'Tarzan' publicly apologized to Megan Fox after targeting her children, it has since been reignited and does not appear on the verge of ending anytime soon.
