Sean Strickland reacts to Nina-Marie Daniele getting "slapped" by Paige VanZant: "Oldest trick in the book"
Sean Strickland has reacted to Nina-Marie Daniele's recent interview with Paige VanZant.
VanZant, a former UFC strawweight and flyweight contender, made a successful debut in Power Slap, defeating Christine Wolmarans by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 30-25.
After her victory, '12-Gauge' sat down with Daniele for a lighthearted interview, where she talked about her Power Slap debut, claiming it as the "craziest thing" she had ever done.
The interview, however, took a surprising turn when Daniele asked VanZant to slap her, claiming she had never been slapped before. However, instead of a traditional slap, Daniele spun around and bent over, resulting in a playful "booty slap."
The clip of this moment went viral after being posted on Daniele's Instagram. Reacting to the clip, former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland commented:
"Nina is pulling the oldest trick in the book. Hanging out with a 4 look like an 8.. smart..."

When Sean Strickland's social media tirade towards Paige VanZant triggered reaction from a former UFC champion
Sean Strickland landed in hot water in 2023 with a heated social media rant directed at former UFC fighter Paige VanZant and women's MMA in general.
After leaving the UFC, VanZant found success on the subscription platform OnlyF*ns. She reportedly claimed to have earned more on the platform in a single day than her entire MMA career, which seemingly rubbed Strickland the wrong way.
Taking to social media, Strickland criticized VanZant, implying she was chosen by the UFC for looks over fighting ability. He further disparaged women's MMA, suggesting men have a greater interest in seeing female fighters scantily clad than competing:
"Men will pay more to see you n*ked than to watch you fight."
The rant continued with a post comparing images of lions and housecats fighting, supposedly representing the difference between men's and women's MMA:
"Male vs. Female MMA... I'm not saying a catfight isn't fun to watch occasionally... but you know."
These comments from 'Tarzan' soon caught the eyes of the former flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko. Taking to her social media handle, 'Bullet' responded writing:
"Good try, maybe UFC will see that and add some cash to your purse next time. But for now n*ked is you are."
