Sean Strickland's previous controversy with Bud Light
American beer giant Bud Light chose to feature transgender American social media personality Dylan Mulvaney on their beer cans in 2023. Sean Strickland, who has always been outspoken about the LGBTQ community, did not hold back while reacting to this move.
Strickland tweeted about the same and wrote:
I'm so sick of these c---s. Even budlight. I'm the definition of America...yet I'm the bad guy because I believe in two genders? I am the majority. They force feed your kids f---ing pride flags. I just wanna fight back a little..."
Because of the aforementioned marketing strategy, Bud Light saw a decrease in its sales and backlash from many. In 2023, the UFC signed a deal with Anheuser-Busch that makes Bud Light, making it the official beer partner of the UFC from 2024.
After this news broke out 'Tarzan' said in one of his Instagram videos that he was proud of the beer firm for signing up with the UFC despite their previous marketing strategies that failed massively. In an Instagram video, he said:
"I am so f*cking proud of you guys for doing the right things after that f*ck up. You know how I feel about transgenders. I go f*cking hard. Just what I do. I am the biggest advocate of biological females...I'm going to help you guys."
