Sean Strickland shares three-word reaction to troll Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski for promoting PRIME

Sean Strickland did not necessarily come across as the biggest fan of PRIME based on a fairly straight to the point comment he made about the beverage line recently on social media. Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski recently featured in a video posted on Instagram, where the two promoted the line of sports drinks and energy drinks.

Adesanya headlines a pay-per-view this weekend and PRIME was doing a promotion giving away four tickets to UFC 305 to see the fight card in-person. Four tickets for the event are up for grabs and two winners will be announced tomorrow, with people gaining entry into the contest by tagging the person they would go to the event with, in the IG comment section.

The former UFC middleweight champion took to the comments but went right to talking down on PRIME itself, sharing a three-word reaction:

"Sugar water lol!!!!"

Sean Strickland and his links to this weekend's UFC 305 main event

Sean Strickland is interwoven within a linear thread that leads to Saturday night's PPV title fight that PRIME was giving away live event tickets for. In September of last year, Strickland stepped into the cage as a sizable underdog against two-time middleweight champion and the man who then reigned over the UFC's 185-pound division, Israel Adesanya.

The native of California shocked many in the world of combat sports by dropping Adesanya on the feet early on in the fight. The polarizing pugilist would put up an unforgiving pace and pressure on the then-UFC titleholder to wrest the strap from him when their fight encroached to that final bell.

Strickland became the newly minted UFC middleweight champion by way of a unanimous decision at UFC 293 and emerged from that pay-per-view main event last fall, on top of the world.

The 33-year-old would hold the strap until January of this year but would lose the title in his first defense of the crown. This took place against the present day champion and the man who will defend his title against Adesanya this weekend, Dricus Du Plessis.

The DDP vs Strickland clash at UFC 297 was a back and forth affair but the former would become the new kingpin of 185 pounds after winning via split decision once the dust settled from their showdown in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
