Sean Strickland takes a jab at "famous people with front row seats" at sporting events day after star-studded Anthony Joshua boxing event

Sean Strickland recently made fun of the well-known celebrities who frequently come and sit in the front row at important sporting events. Strickland's jab came after the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois boxing event, which was filled with famous people.

Joshua squared off against Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title this past Saturday. Boxing superstars like Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford, MMA legend Conor McGregor, English singer and songwriter Liam Gallagher, Turki Alalshikh, and many others marked their presence at the event which was held at Wembley Stadium.

Strickland is one of the UFC's most contentious figures, and his X account is regularly filled with heated debates regarding current events and political trends. The former middleweight champion presented both sides of a sporting event in his most recent X tirade.

That is to say, there are die-hard fans who work tirelessly to ensure the sport remains relevant, and there are well-known figures who attend solely for the pleasure of being associated with the sport.

''There are two parts of sporting events..... The fans in the nose bleeds watching the sport, who make the sport. And there are "famous" people with front row seats that give zero f**ks about the sport and are just there to party....Oddest fu**ing thing...''

As for the MMA scene, Strickland has been requesting a rematch with Dricus du Plessis since losing his middleweight belt to him at UFC 297 earlier this year. But the promotion turned down his request and booked du Plessis to face former champion Israel Adesanya, whom 'Tarzan' defeated to win the title.

Strickland returned to the octagon with a split decision victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 302, firmly establishing himself as the top contender for the title. The 33-year-old is expected to challenge du Plessis for the UFC gold, although it's unclear when that fight will happen.
