Sean Strickland wants James Krause ousted from UFC if found guilty in betting scandal
Sean Strickland recently weighed in on the betting allegations surrounding former UFC fighter-turned-coach James Krause. While Strickland doesn't know Krause personally, the UFC middleweight believes that the coach should be ousted if proven guilty.
That being said, Strickland also doesn't want Krause to suffer unjustly. The 31-year-old recently told MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn:
"I don't know what the f*** happened with Krause. I don't even f***ing know Krause. But if there is any fight-throwing or any bullsh*t, f*** Krause. The f***ing guy should never be allowed to be in the UFC. Now if it's all bullsh*t and it's just some guys being a**holes, then you know, move on, let the guy have a life. But if what they are saying is true and he was throwing fights and changing fights, f***ing give that guy the boot, he don't belong here."

James Krause initially came under investigation due to suspicious betting line movement ahead of a bout in which his fighter Darrick Minner lost. Krause's corner license was subsequently revoked by the Nevada State Athletic Commission while Minner was released from the UFC.
All athletes associated with Krause or his gym, Glory MMA, have also been banned from competing in the UFC for the time being.
Sean Strickland wants rematch against Alex Pereira
Sean Strickland will look to bounce back from a brutal KO loss against Alex Pereira when he headlines a UFC Fight Night opposite Jared Cannonier on December 17.
Strickland is also plotting a rematch against the middleweight champion by racking up a few more wins.
While he was highly criticized for trading with the former kickboxing champion in their first clash, Strickland has no regrets about his approach. In fact, the California native would do it exactly the same way in a potential rematch. The 31-year-old further told MMA Junkie (2:19):
“He’s a f*cking big motherf*cking Brazilian who hits like dynamite. F*ck. I’ll give you guys a pointer: You stand in front of that motherf*cker and bang, somebody is going to sleep and it’s most likely going to be you. If I fight the guy again, I’d do the same f*cking thing. Just put this [right] hand a little more [up].”
