"See you in America" - Flyweight Muay Thai king Rodtang drops epic hype video ahead of world title defense in Atlanta

Rodtang Jitmuangnon is once again ready to take the United States by storm. The reigning ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion is undoubtedly one of the biggest fighters on the planet and has told his American fanbase to prepare for his return next month.

Rodtang will defend his throne against Jacob Smith at the stacked ONE 169: Atlanta card on Nov. 8 at State Farm Arena. Ahead of his next world title defense, Rodtang Jitmuangnon took to Instagram to hype his fans up for his impending return.

Rodtang showed off clips from his fights against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9, ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty, Sergio Wielzen, Walter Goncalves, and several others.

'The Iron Man' was part of ONE Championship's first live event in the United States when he defended his throne against Edgar Tabares at ONE Fight Night 10 in May 2023 in Denver.

He'll now return to the United States in a few months when he defends his gold in a rematch against Smith.

The British slugger, the number three contender in the flyweight Muay Thai division, already fought Rodtang in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix but lost via unanimous decision at ONE 157.

Tickets for ONE 169: Atlanta are available at Ticketmaster.

Jonathan Haggerty talks about his relationship with Rodtang

Rodtang's status as one of the top fighters in ONE Championship brings with it a few rivalries here and there.

One of Rodtang's earliest foes in the promotion was Jonathan Haggerty. The now ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion previously fought Rodtang for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.

Although Haggerty dropped the flyweight Muay Thai gold to Rodtang in those two matches, 'The General' has nothing but absolute admiration for the Thai megastar.

In a career retrospect he uploaded on his YouTube channel, Haggerty said:

"There's so much respect there for Rodtang, he's such a legend of the sport. He's growing the sport great. So we've got a funny relationship, me and Rodtang. There's no hate there at all. We see each other. We always give each other a cuddle and good luck before our fights."
