"See who is best" - Jonathan Haggerty says he and Superlek will settle the pound-for-pound debate at ONE 168

Jonathan Haggerty believes his high-stakes dream fight with Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver couldn't have come at a better time. As things stand, both elite strikers are at the top of their games and are considered the alphas in their respective divisions.

Superlek, the reigning flyweight kickboxing king, will vie for two-sport and two-division supremacy when he challenges 'The General' for his bantamweight Muay Thai crown.

It just so happens that Haggerty has also conquered both the Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions since moving up and finding a home at 145 pounds.

Speaking to ONE ahead of this epic slugfest at the Ball Arena on Sept. 6, Haggerty said there can only be one true king, and he'll be crowned in two weeks.

"He's the best in flyweight, I'm the best in bantamweight. So, why not put us together and see who is the best?"

ONE Championship is indeed home to some of the finest strikers on planet Earth.

However, it's fair to say that both Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek have separated themselves from the pack. Both men, by virtue of their records, hold a valid claim to being among the best strikers in the world, pound for pound.

While both world-class fighters have their own strengths, something has to give when these two immovable objects collide in the curtain closer to ONE 168: Denver.

Jonathan Haggerty says he already discovered Superlek's weakness

For a man about to face one of the most technically sound strikers in the 'Art of Eight Limbs,' Jonathan Haggerty remains oozing with confidence.

After all, the British powerhouse believes he already found a hole in 'The Kicking Machine's' game. He said on his 'Road To Superlek' series on YouTube:

"Against Superlek, we're going to be working on a lot of blocking and counter-attacking. So, for instance, he likes to throw the jab a lot before he kicks. However, we've been working on that. We're starting to see his weaknesses."
