Shara Magomedov holds iguana while calling out Kevin Holland for UFC Denver showdown: "I take your head home"

Shara Magomedov wasted no time calling out his next opponent following his victory at UFC Fight Night 204 in Saudi Arabia. In a rather unorthodox move, Magomedov held an iguana while issuing a challenge to Kevin Holland for a fight at the upcoming UFC Denver event on July 13.

UFC Saudi Arabia was marred by last-minute changes, with Dana White scrambling to find replacements for fighters who pulled out. Magomedov himself was impacted, originally scheduled to fight Ihor Potieria. Potieria, however, opted for a short-notice bout at UFC 301, leaving Magomedov without an opponent. The UFC stepped in, securing Joilton Lutterbach, but Lutterbach's failed drug tests meant another change. Ultimately, Antonio Trócoli filled the void.

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Magomedov emerged victorious and wasted no time setting his sights on his next opponent, Kevin Holland. Holland recently defeated Michal Oleksiejczuk, putting himself back in the win column.

In a social media post (via. @ChampRDS), holding an iguana, Magomedov declared:

“Kevin Holland, the real pirate here. Shara Bullet in USA. I kill you July 13th, let’s go fight. I kill you. I take your head home.”

Shara Magomedov accepts Bo Nickal's callout but isn't likely to compete on American soil

Shara Magomedov scored a third-round knockout over Antonio Trocoli at UFC Saudi Arabia, extending his unbeaten record. While celebrating the victory, Magomedov received a callout from undefeated American prospect Bo Nickal.

Magomedov readily accepted the challenge, expressing confidence in his wrestling despite Nickal's grappling pedigree. However, a potential matchup between the two may be hindered by limitations on Magomedov entering the United States.

UFC CEO Dana White cast doubt on Magomedov's ability to compete in the US, citing unspecified reasons, though rumors suggest it could be related to eye issues.

“Can he? Probably not – we’ll keep him out here.” [H/t: Bloody Elbow]
