Sharabutdin Magomedov shares his plan to potentially star in a Bollywood film and explore more acting roles in the future
Sharabutdin Magomedov is aiming for a future in the film industry. Specifically, he wants to appear in a Bollywood movie at some point. To do so, however, he must first engineer enough success in the UFC to parlay that fame into an acting career. The surging middleweight contender said as much in his media day interview.
This Saturday at UFC 308, Magomedov faces Armen Petrosyan, but he is already plotting his future, looking past his scheduled opponent.
"I was told that I would be called to the premiere. I'm waiting for the premiere to happen. Hopefully, I'll be able to get out there. But right now, as you can see, I have a very busy schedule as a fighter. I'm constantly training. I would maybe like to be in more movies, but I can only give about a month, right? Because everything else is training. Maybe, soon, at some point, I'll be in other movies. Maybe even Bollywood."

For now, Magomedov is focused on his upcoming UFC 308 bout, where he will hope to extend his undefeated 14-0 record to 15 straight wins. Moreover, he wants to make history as only the second one-eyed UFC champion by capturing the middleweight title once held by Michael Bisping.
Sharabutdin Magomedov was previously on American soil for a short film
Ahead of his UFC on ABC 6 bout with Antonio Trócoli, who he TKO'd, Sharabutdin Magomedov took part in three days of filming for an as-of-yet unreleased short film where he stars as a 'killer.' He shared details on the project in a Red Corner MMA interview.
"I will need to fly to Los Angeles. They are going to pay for my VISA and all the expenses. I gave it a thought and asked him about the role, he said it was a killer. I decided to take this offer."
