Shavkat Rakhmonov reacts to being added to UFC 4 video game
After months of pleading, fans finally got their wish when Shavkat Rakhmonov was added to the UFC 4 video game roster, and now the welterweight has shared his reaction to the news.
Despite being popular, the realistic video game made by EA Sports has come under fire for a number of reasons, but none more so than their inability to add the ever-changing UFC roster to their list of fighters. Champions like Jamahal Hill and Alex Pereira are two additions that were included much later than expected.
During a recent interview, Shavkat Rakhmonov described the one time he managed to play with his own character on EA Sports UFC 4 and detailed where he believes his model needs improvements.
"Yeah, of course, I was glad [that] I was added to the game, but I'm not the [type of] person who's gonna get too excited about things like that. I took it as a normal thing that should have happened... Just one time [I got to play with my character] when I was visiting someone in their place. I was playing the UFC game and I just played once... I think they made me too buffed up."
Following his impressive four-fight UFC run, Shavkat Rakhmonov is a well-deserved addition to the game.
Entering the octagon as a huge prospect, 'Nomad' has remained unbeaten throughout his career and has finished each of his fights in the cage, something that he has translated perfectly into the company.
At 16-0, the Kazakh has a finely balanced eight victories by knockout and eight victories by submission, with wins over veterans Alex Oliveira and Neil Magny on his record.

Shavkat Rakhmonov's next fight: When and who is the undefeated star fighting next?
Similar to other young prospects in the sport, Shavkat Rakhmonov is having trouble finding an opponent as he spearheads his way into title contention, but who has agreed to collide with the European?
At UFC 285 headlined by a Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane title fight, the 28-year-old will finally return to action when he meets the heavy-handed Geoff Neal in the cage.
Rakhmonov was originally booked to face 'Handz of Steel' in the UFC’s first event of 2023, but the fight had to be rescheduled following a minor injury, with it now set to commence on March 4.
