"She already had the chance to fight with me"- Stamp backs former teammate Denice Zamboanga after Ham Seo Hee's criticism

ONE atomweight MMA queen Stamp Fairtex has come into Denice Zamboanga's defense after the Filipina solidified her interim title shot chance over Ham Seo Hee.

The injured Thai superstar has been privy to all the chatter involving the supposed pairing between Denice Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna for the interim ONE atomweight MMA world championship.

The two top-ranked women were hand-chosen to take part at ONE Fight Night 25 this past Friday to determine the star athlete who will unify the belt against the current champion, Stamp Fairtex.

Former world title challenger Ham Seo Hee took offense at being left out. In a post on Instagram, the South Korean veteran argued that she was more deserving of an interim opportunity than Zamboanga, based on her No. 1 ranking and the fact that she beat her twice before.

Stamp, however, sees things a little differently. Speaking to ONE Championship News, the 26-year-old star argued:

"I saw her [Ham Seo Hee's] Instagram post. I agree with some of Ham's points, but I also agree with some of the points from Denice. Because she already had the chance to fight with me already, there has to be a next one to have a chance to fight with me."

Denice Zamboanga pulls from interim title fight against Alyona Rassohyna due to unforeseen injury

Denice Zamboanga's streak of bad luck continues with a hamstring injury, days before her interim world title scrum with No. 4-ranked contender Alyona Rassohyna.

The Filipina star is derailed from another world title opportunity for the fourth time in her ONE career.

Denice made her case five years ago to fight former atomweight MMA queen Angela Lee, after producing a stunning three-fight win streak at the start of her journey.

And just like Stamp Fairtex mentioned before, Denice was booked to fight her for the atomweight belt in Qatar this year, but that was postponed.

Then Stamp suffered a serious knee injury weeks before their rescheduled showdown in June, forcing Denice to fight with Stamp's replacement, Noelle Grandjean at ONE 167.

Now, Denice Zamboanga is on the sidelines this time, with a hamstring injury that could delay her chances of fighting for the title again.
