"She directly rejects his name" - UFC fighter Michael Chandler criticizes Kamala Harris for apparent anti-Christian jibe at rally

Michael Chandler has made his feelings clear on Kamala Harris, who is the Democratic Party's nominee for the United States' 2024 presidential elections. Taking to X, Chandler issued a critical statement in response to Harris allegedly denouncing Christianity.

He urged like-minded Americans and Christians to vote against Harris in his tweet. It is one of several statements made by a noticeable chunk of MMA fighters who are against the Democratic Party and largely favor the Republican Party's presidential nominee, Donald Trump.

"If you're a Christian, this has to be the nail in the coffin of even thinking about voting for her. While peddling the idea of killing babies she directly rejects his name. And they were kicked out for saying #jesusislord #christisking - get out and vote early."

On the MMA front, Chandler is gearing up for a thrilling rematch at UFC 309 with Charles Oliveira, who faces in a lightweight co-main event on Nov. 16. Their first encounter did not go Chandler's way, despite round one being defined by significant success for him in the striking department.

He rocked and dropped Oliveira, appearing to hurt him with virtually every strike. However, early in round two, 'do Bronx' knocked him down with a picture-perfect check hook as Chandler, as he often does, overextended during an exchange. It was the beginning of the end, with Oliveira pouncing.

As he chased Chandler along the fence, Oliveira dropped him again, before TKO'ing him with ground-and-pound. The defeat likely stings more than any other for Chandler, as it was his lone crack at UFC lightweight gold. He will be eager to rectify that loss and work his way back into title contention.

Michael Chandler has been critical of the Democratic Party as of late

Kamala Harris, who is the current United States Vice President, isn't the only Democratic politician that Michael Chandler has taken aim at. Just two days ago, the former three-time Bellator lightweight champion lambasted current United States President Joe Biden in a tweet.

"There are just some facts that are undefendable... this one gets me."

He isn't alone, as many MMA figures, both fighters and otherwise, have been critical of the Democrats and will almost certainly continue to be so.
