"She's more precise" - Danielle Kelly compares Art of Jiu Jitsu Academy teammates Jessa Khan and Mayssa Bastos

Danielle Kelly is used to dealing with high pressure situations and that could be very important for her ahead of ONE Fight Night 24.

The ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion worked very hard to win the title but the hard work has only just begun.

Kelly secured the biggest accomplishment of her career to date last time out at ONE Fight Night 14 where she defeated Jessa Khan to win the inaugural title.

Now, she must take on another highly-credentialed opponent in Khan's own teammate, Mayssa Bastos.

The two women will collide at ONE Fight Night 24 where Kelly hopes to secure another win over this particular stable of elite grapplers.

In an interview with Jordan Teaches Jiujitsu, the champion spoke about the differences between her next opponent and her previous one:

"For this match with Mayssa, I feel like she's more precise than Jessa, for sure."

Kelly continued, adding how she will look to improve upon her last performance:

"I don't want to make the same mistake that I did with my last match that shouldn't have happened. Like I made one little mistake, and she was able to take my back. But again, I wasn't threatened."

Danielle Kelly can't be counted out

Her win at ONE Fight Night 14 showed that Danielle Kelly has the ability to raise her game when under the brightest lights.

She didn't have the same kind of accolades as Jessa Khan going into that match-up and had already been beaten by Khan several years before.

None of that mattered last September and that's exactly the confidence that Kelly needs to bring into this contest against an incredibly successful competitor like Bastos.

ONE Fight Night 24 will air live in US Primetime, free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
