“Shoot for the moon and maybe you land on a star” - Kade Ruotolo says he’ll keep on chasing greatness in MMA
Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion turned mixed martial artist Kade Ruotolo of the United States has grand designs of becoming one of the greatest to ever do it in MMA.
Following his second victory in the all-encompassing sport last weekend, Ruotolo is now in the lightweight MMA mix and will be fielding challenges against the division's elite soon.
Speaking to veteran MMA reporter Ariel Helwani in a recent interview, Ruotolo expressed his goals for his MMA career.
The 21-year-old Atos jiu-jitsu product said:
"It was something that at the beginning of this year, I never really even thought about. I feel like the way I've always operated is I always - it sounds cringy or whatever - but like in a sense, shoot for the moon and maybe you land on a star. Every single one of my goals are as high as possible."
Ruotolo wants to be known as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, and if his performance against Ahmed Mujtaba over the weekend is any indication, it appears he's well on his way.
