Should Islam Makhachev fight Leon Edwards for the welterweight belt? Hasbulla weighs in
Social media sensation Hasbulla has given his thoughts on a potential Islam Makhachev vs. Leon Edwards clash.
Edwards successfully marked his first title defense against Kamaru Usman this past weekend. In what was a rather close fight, 'Rocky' edged over the former welterweight champion with a majority decision to his name. Following Edwards' win, he was called out by the UFC lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev.
Makhachev took to Twitter to put his name forward for a shot at potentially becoming a double champ. He wrote:
"I want Leon next, October in Abu Dhabi"

During a recent interview with The Schmo, Islam Makhachev's friend and social media sensation Hasbulla gave his thoughts on the matter. While suggesting that he doesn't need to go up in weight class, he said:
"Why he needs to go up, if he's already cool. He's the champ and everybody's scared [of] him."

It is worth noting that Hasbulla hails from Dagestan as well. Over the years, he has formed a great relationship with Islam Makhachev and also the UFC. He was recently signed by the UFC for certain promotional activities as well and is often seen attending UFC events.
Islam Makhachev gives his thoughts on Conor McGregor's return
Conor McGregor is set to return to the octagon later this year against Michael Chandler after they face off as opposing coaches in the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter. It is worth noting that it will be the Irishman's first bout in the UFC since July 2021, and there is still speculation of him receiving a title shot following a potential win over Chandler.
Giving his thoughts on this, UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has suggested that he knows that the UFC will try to give Conor McGregor a title shot if he beats Michael Chandler.
During a recent appearance on the WEIGHING IN podcast, Makhachev said:
"They try to make the fight, but it's not official now and I don't think Conor wants to fight because he's drinking too much, smoking all day. He just can't. TUF makes some things interesting because everybody's forgot him. I don't know when he fought last time, but if they fight, I think it's going to be 170. Maybe if he beats Chandler, they're going to try to push him and make 155. I know they want to give him title chance."
