Six-foot tall Muay Thai phenom Nabil Anane growing into bantamweight: “It’s quite comfortable for me”

Six-foot Muay Thai phenom Nabil Anane of Thailand says he is settling it quite nicely at his 'natural' weight class. Moving up from flyweight to bantamweight, Anane says he feels much stronger and faster.

Anane is set to face another tough opponent, Myanmar lethwei legend Soe Lin Oo, and the Algerian-Thai rising star says he is excited to showcase his best.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Anane shared his thoughts on the move from flyweight to bantamweight, and says he feels it was the right thing to do.

The 20-year-old Team Mehdi Zatout standout said:

"For 135 pounds it's quite difficult to find fighters to fight. So I talked to my promoter, and then I was like, okay, we're going to try at bantamweight. And I'm growing so fighting at bantamweight is quite comfortable for me."

Nabil Anane is set to face Myanmar's Soe Lin Oo in a three-round bantamweight Muay Thai contest this weekend.

The two lock horns at ONE Friday Fights 81: Superbon vs. Nattawut, which broadcasts live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, September 27.
