Ryan Garcia's initial reaction to his mother's cancer diagnosis
Ryan Garcia has had his difficulties outside of the ring but no issue has been harder for him to deal with than the recent cancer diagnosis of his mother. Despite the image he puts out into the public, Garcia remains close to his family, with his mother being the centerpiece of his life.
Garcia initially released his mother's health crisis in June, announcing that she was dealing with cancer on social media. The 26-year-old opened up on how strenuous the situation was on his mental health, declaring that he would 'go with her' if she lost her life to the disease.
So far, Garcia's latest update would appear to indicate that the recovery process is going well for Lisa Garcia. The severity of her case is currently unknown along with her estimated timetable.
