"Soon, I'll face them" - Nabil Anane excited to test himself against the killers of the bantamweight Muay Thai ranks

With a massive win at ONE Fight Night 24, Nabil Anane has likely inserted himself in the top 5 of the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

The 20-year-old rising contender has shown that he has the potential to compete at the highest level.

Whilst his wins on the Friday Fights series have been very impressive, a big main roster debut was calling his name on Aug. 2.

Felipe Lobo was the last man to challenge for the world championship in this division as he previously went toe-to-toe with Jonathan Haggerty.

Anane made this fight look simple as he used his massive height and reach advantage to keep Lobo stuck on the outside with no way of closing the gap.

Whilst he isn't in a rush to make it to the top, the emerging star is excited by some of the top names that await him in this division.

In a post-fight interview with Nick Atkin for Sportskeeda MMA, he spoke about the rest of the bantamweight Muay Thai division:

"In this division, there are very tough guys you know, Nico Carrillo, Nong-O, Jonathan Haggerty, and now Superlek as well. He's coming fighting Haggerty for the title. Yeah, there are four big names, and soon, [I'll face them]."

Nabil Anane presents a unique challenge to all these names

Standing at a staggering 6'3'', Nabil Anane is a difficult match-up for any of the top names in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

For a start, finding someone that tall who is only a bantamweight and is an elite striker is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Superlek was able to solve this problem when he handed Anane his sole defeat in the promotion on his debut, but the surging contender is always getting better.

The replay of ONE Fight Night 24 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
