Stephen Loman leaning towards heavier hands in Jonathan Haggerty vs Superlek showdown: “I think those are the advantages”
Second-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight MMA contender 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman can't wait to witness Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek Kiatmoo9 clash in a Muay Thai showdown at ONE 168: Denver, but he already has an idea of who he will be picking to win.
The highly regarded Filipino standout says he is pulling for the double champ to take home the victory.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Loman said he was leaning toward the reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion to take home the victory.
'The Sniper' said:
"Maybe for me, I’ll go with the faster fighter, so I’ll go with Haggerty. Well, both are fast strikers, but I’ll go with Haggerty because he throws so many combinations, and he has really heavy hands. I think those are the advantages Haggerty has over Superlek."
Two-sport king 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty is set to defend his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai gold against flyweight kickboxing titleholder 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9.
The two lock horns at ONE 168: Denver, which broadcasts live from the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, on Friday, September 6.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action live and for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription. Fans who want to watch in-stadium still have the chance to score tickets via Ticketmaster.
Stephen Loman says Superlek won't have any issues at higher weight class: "It won't be a problem for him"
Filipino star 'The Sniper' Stephen Loman says Superlek Kiatmoo9 will fit right in at bantamweight when he takes on 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty for the Muay Thai gold at ONE 168: Denver.
He told Sportskeeda MMA:
"I think, Superlek already walks at a heavier weight than the flyweight limit. He’s also a tall fighter, so when he gains weight it won’t be a problem for him."
