"Stop searching for my willy on the internet" - Dricus du Plessis reacts to Israel Adesanya's NSFW trash-talk

UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis has publicly responded to Israel Adesanya’s unconventional pre-fight trash talk, labeling it as "weird." The two are set to collide in a highly anticipated title fight at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia.

The build-up to the fight has been intense. The pair's obvious animosity is a product of their rift over their respective African roots and heated face-off at UFC 290. Adesanya’s recent NSFW social media post seemingly comparing certain attributes has prompted a strong reaction from the champion.

During media day ahead of the pay-per-view, du Plessis didn't mince words when responding to the post:

“Israel, stop searching for my willy on the internet. It’s weird, it’s very freaking weird man. Cmon!”

Dana White promises a fight event in South Africa if Dricus du Plessis can defend the title at UFC 305

UFC CEO Dana White has hinted at a potential blockbuster event in South Africa should Dricus du Plessis successfully defend his middleweight title against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305.

'Stillknocks' made history earlier this year when he became the first South African to win a UFC title, defeating Sean Strickland at UFC 297. His meteoric rise has been accompanied by a growing rivalry with Adesanya, who has taken offense to du Plessis' comments about being the first "real African UFC champion."

With the stakes high for both fighters, White believes a victory for either man would be a significant moment in their respective careers. Speaking to the media ahead of UFC 305, White said:

"Everything is on the line, especially because they dislike each other so much. If he can beat Izzy and bring that belt back to South Africa, obviously we'll do an event there. If Izzy can regain the title, it's huge for him and his legacy."
