Superbon describes Marat Grigorian rematch at ONE Friday Fights 58 as 'the hardest fight' of his life

Superbon had to dig deep at ONE Friday Fights 58 in order to come away with a well-earned victory.

In the main event of the evening, two former foes met for a second time under the ONE Championship banner with the interim ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship on the line.

The Thai striker already knew that he had the potential to dominate Marat Grigorian inside the ring after what happened the last time that they met.

However, he also felt his opponent's power before he was stopped by Grigorian back before both men were signed to ONE.

Their third fight was the most competitive of the trilogy, coming right down to the wire with some arguing that it could have gone either way.

Superbon reflected this in his post-fight press conference, where he said that Grigorian pushed him further than anyone else prior:

"I think this was really the hardest fight of my life because he was very strong. But I beat him, still."

Superbon showed expert control and focus to secure the win

Superbon wasn't able to control this fight like he did back at ONE X, but his ability to win the fight when not everything was going his way made it even more impressive.

Marat Grigorian's pressure is difficult to face, and he certainly tried to overwhelm the former champion at points.

Unfortunately, his opponent was more than ready for this and knew if he was going to leave Lumpinee Stadium with the title, he would need to meet fire with fire.

That's exactly what he did and after going to war with Grigorian for five rounds, he has reclaimed a piece of the gold that he lost to Chingiz Allazov back at ONE Fight Night 6.

Now, he turns his attention to what is sure to be another incredibly difficult fight and rematch with Allazov.
