Superbon ready to "snatch" Tawanchai’s Muay Thai crown after he beats Jo Nattawut: “My goal is to be a champion”
After conquering the world of kickboxing, Superbon has his sights set on gold in 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.
On Sept. 27, the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion will return to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand for a main event clash with 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut at ONE Friday Fights 81.
It will be Superbon's second Muay Thai fight under the ONE Championship banner after going toe-to-toe with featherweight titleholder Tawanchai in December.
With a win over Nattawut inside the 'Madison Square Garden of the East', the Thai superstar hopes that he'll earn himself another crack at Tawachai's gold and solidify his status as a two-sport superstar:
"Of course, I want to challenge Tawanchai to snatch his belt," he told the promotion. "My goal is to be a champion. I'm here to win and be the champion."
But first, he'll have to go through one of the most well-rounded strikers in the division today live on pay-per-view at watch.onefc.com.
Jo Nattawut adds another big name to his resume vs. Superbon
Coming off of back-to-back scraps with Tawanchai, 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut is set to add another notable name to his resume when he meets Superbon inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai'.
Boasting an impressive 72-12 record, Nattawut has put together six wins inside the circle while facing some of the toughest names in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, including Giorgio Petrosyan, ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Chingiz Allazov, and of course, Tawanchai.
If he can earn a big win over Superbon at One Friday Fights 81, he'll likely find himself with a top-five ranking in both the featherweight Muay Thai and kickboxing divisions.
Who leaves 'The Land of Smiles' with their hand raised at one of the biggest Friday Fights cards of the year?
ONE Friday Fights 81 will air live and exclusively on pay-per-view on Friday, Sept. 27 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. You can purchase the event exclusively on the official ONE Championship website.
