Superbon roots for Takeru Segawa at ONE Friday Fights 81: “Japanese style is very dangerous”

Superbon knows a tough fighter when he sees one, and the Japanese kickboxing superstar Takeru Segawa is no exception.

Fighting in the same ONE Friday Fights 81 card, the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world champion is rooting for Takeru when he faces Burmese striker Thant Zin.

Meanwhile, the Thai superstar will headline the spectacle inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium when he faces 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut on Friday, Sept. 27.

Speaking of Takeru, Superbon told South China Morning Post the reason why he thinks the flyweight kickboxer will rise to the occasion.

The 34-year-old said:

"He has very good hands, very powerful, Japanese style. So that is hard to deal with because if you kick, they will come with three or four punches. If you fight in their game, you have to beat them in boxing, because the Japanese style is very dangerous."

He then continued:

"So, I think if he can win, he can get back to the world title picture. I think it’s going to be a fun fight too, because the guy from Myanmar always fights well in ONE Championship."

With Superbon vs. Nattawut and Takeru vs. Zin at the top of the card, it is certain that all fans will not want to miss the pay-per-view event live in Asia primetime.

Superbon gunning for featherweight Muay Thai belt if he beats Jo Nattawut

The Thai superstar Superbon may have failed once in his efforts to claim the ONE featherweight Muay Thai gold, but he has no plans to stop.

The interim kickboxing king will aim for a rematch with Saemapetch PK Saenchai for the belt if he successfully beats Jo Nattawut in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 81 on Sept. 27.

In the same interview, he said:

"Of course, I need to fight Jo in this fight to challenge for the world title again. I don’t know which one between Jo and Tawanchai is going to win, but next title fight, for sure, is going to be me."

And with that, ONE Friday Fights 81 will be a must-see card filled with barnburner fights.
