Superlek delighted to face "one of the most talented fighters" in Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: Denver
ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 is beyond thrilled for his next assignment on the global stage of ONE Championship for obvious reasons.
The Thai striking icon will kill two birds with one stone when he takes to the Circle at ONE 168: Denver inside the Ball Arena on September 6.
Apart from making his on-ground debut in North America, the Kiatmoo9 Gym athlete is pumped to run it back against Jonathan Haggerty, who he defeated in October 2018.
Before he attempts to go for two-sport glory and add another feather to his cap again the in-form Englishman, Superlek shared his views on his dance partner during a faceoff at ONE Friday Fights 72 last week.
He told Mitch Chilson:
"I must say Jonathan Haggerty is one of the most talented fighters in the world. So to be facing him, it's an honor for me."
'The Kicking Machine' heads into Denver, Colorado, in the form of his life.
The 28-year-old has racked up an outstanding 10-0 run in the promotion after a sole unanimous decision loss to Ilias Ennahachi in February 2021.
Throughout that streak, the Buriram native took out the likes of Walter Goncalves, Daniel Puertas, Danial Williams, Nabil Anane, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, and Takeru Segawa.
Superlek says he has no issues moving up to bantamweight for Haggerty tie
While many are concerned about Superlek's ability to move up a weight division at ONE 168: Denver, the Muay Thai and kickboxing wizard doesn't make much of it.
Per the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, he's had that sorted with a team of specialists, who will ensure all his out-of-the-ring concerns are taken care off before his Haggerty rematch in The Mile High City.
Superlek told Sportskeeda MMA previously:
