Superlek grateful for chance to ‘show Muay Thai to the world’ alongside Jonathan Haggerty at ONE 168: “It’s special”
Superlek is excited about the opportunity to help introduce Muay Thai to fans around the world when ONE Championship heads back to the United States on Friday, September 6.
Emanating from Ball Arena in The Mile High City, ONE 168: Denver will bring some of the biggest names in martial arts stateside for a night of can't-miss fights—chief among them being a massive Muay Thai headliner.
Two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty will put his bantamweight title in the art of eight limbs on the line against Superlek in one of the most anticipated bouts in ONE history.
Already reigning as the ONE flyweight kickboxing king, Superlek is determined to bring another 26 pounds of gold back home to Thailand. More importantly, 'The Kicking Machine' is eager to show fans in the United States and those watching from around the world what Muay Thai is all about. He told ONE:
“I’ve always been grateful to have an opportunity to show Muay Thai to the world. It’s special to be selected to be part of this huge card. I’m honored.”
Superlek can etch his name in the history books with a win over Jonathan Haggerty
Since making his promotional debut more than four years ago, 'The Kicking Machine' has not yet lost in the Muay Thai competition.
That's a seriously impressive feat when you consider the murderer's row of talent he's faced, including Tagir Khalilov, Nabil Anane, and current ONE flyweight Muay Thai titleholder Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Superlek has also earned wins in the world of kickboxing, defeating Daniel Puertas for the flyweight kickboxing belt in January 2023 before scoring a spectacular title defense against K-1 legend Takeru Segawa in Tokyo earlier this year.
Will 'The Kicking Machine' etch his name in the history books and become a two-sport world champion, or will Jonathan Haggerty continue his reign of dominance over the bantamweight division?
